Chimera
Elegant entwining
rising, deep and exact
each knowing its way
the leaves become nothing more
than a synthesis of
shape and colour
smell of rotting earth
absolves every thought I have
they wither and dissolve
the impeccable robust
branches seem to show the way
they think they know where they are going
meager crevices
uncover a remote sky
black and vehement
it does not fear
I’d like to say
that this ludicrous beauty
is nothing but an expurgation
from my bleak latent mind
but the erratic constellation of branches
depicts incongruous
whispers:
blind and callous
phantoms of better worlds
we die
